MEET THE BOARD OF THE JUAN SEGUIN SOCIETY

ALMA JACKSON - PRESIDENT

Alma Jackson has been an active conservative Republican since 1987. She has served as precinct chairman & election judge on numerous Republican Committees including State Republican Executive Committee in Senate District 26. She has successfully recruited much-needed precinct chairmen and filled the empty spots in her county. As a committed grassroots activist, she taught Naturalization Classes to legal status, immigrants encouraging them to apply for citizenship. Alma served as Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas from 2018 – 2020. Alma currently serves the party in different roles including serving as Chairman of the Engagement Committee & President of the Juan Seguin Society.

 

Alma has always believed; the Republican Party Platform is the best tool to convince people to vote Republican. She believes if more citizens understood the difference between the two major parties’ more citizens would vote Republican.

JOSEPH VARGAS - VICE PRESIDENT

Joseph Vargas is a strategist commentator with a focus on Ethics in Philosophy and Political Strategy. His political and philosophical reviews clarify complex issues from a logical and procedural perspective. He bases his strategy on his 20 + years in marketing, branding and his studies in human behavior, experience with consulting, and campaign management. He is the founder of Keep Texas Red and author of, “Dealing With The Democrat Modus Operandi.” His lectures focus on responding to the left’s use of emotion and negative branding against conservatives.

NAOMI NARVAIZ - SECRETARY

Naomi Narvaiz is a conservative Republican and supports an America First agenda. She has served her community on numerous boards and is a former City of San Marcos Ethics Review Commissioner and former appointee to the San Marcos CISD School Health Advisory Council. Currently, she is elected to the State Republican Executive Committee representing Senate District 21 and is the Community Outreach Coordinator for Texas Values, a 501 (c)3, that advocates for issues regarding faith, family and freedom. Naomi is a principled leader who supports abolishing abortion, supports constitutional carry and enforcement of our immigration laws.

MARIA MARTINEZ - BOARD OF DIRECTOR

Maria Martinez began her career in technology sales and marketing, working for Fortune 500 companies in Central Texas. After many souls searching and feeling the need to make a difference, she began to volunteer for a friend’s political campaign and was encouraged by her mother to get involved. It was then using her marketing skills, that she led a grassroots campaign, organizing parents and educators to pass school choice legislation. After joining Americans For Prosperity as Deputy Director, she developed a statewide grassroots membership and worked with the Legislature on numerous public policy initiatives. Ms. Martinez assisted grassroots organizations statewide to become an effective conservative voice at both the state and federal levels with a goal of passing conservative legislation. She has volunteered for numerous political campaigns and public policy initiatives.

ROSALBA MARTINEZ - BOARD OF DIRECTOR

Rosalba is a first-generation born & raised Texan. She attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and majored in Communications & Public Relations. She volunteered in the former Mayor of the City of Del Rio’s campaign, Dora Alcala. The mayor then ran for State Rep. It was then Rosalba was offered a position to staff two offices on the border for former Congressman, Francisco “Quico” Canseco. Rosalba fell in love working with constituency and found her passion in helping others through public service. Rosalba’s previous experience includes being a Deputy Regional Director in the Senate in South Texas along with recently working for the Pro-Life Foundation, Susan B. Anthony. She’s currently the Regional Director for South Texas for the Republican Party of Texas.
